01About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the ThousandTesters website, dashboard and browser extension (the “Service”), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a company registered in India at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

02Who uses ThousandTesters

The Service connects two kinds of users:

• Companies (“Clients”) who submit products for testing and pay for test cycles.
• Freelance testers (“Testers”) who test those products and are paid for accepted bug reports.

03Accounts

You must give accurate information, keep your password safe and tell us about any unauthorised use of your account. You must be at least 18 years old. We may suspend accounts that give false information or break these terms.

04Test cycles for Clients

A test cycle is a time-limited round of testing on the product, flows, devices and countries you choose. You must have the right to have the product tested and must provide working test accounts.

You decide whether to accept or reject each bug report. Rejections must give a reason. Accepted bugs are final and are paid to the Tester.

• Do not give Testers access to real customer data or production payment systems.
• Do not ask Testers to do anything unlawful or outside the agreed scope.

05Testers are independent contractors

Testers are not our employees or the Client’s employees. Testers choose which cycles to join and are responsible for their own taxes, except where we must deduct tax at source (TDS) under Indian law.

• Report only real bugs you found yourself, backed by a recorded session.
• Do not submit duplicate, fabricated or AI-generated reports without evidence.
• Do not share anything you see in a cycle outside the Service.

06Session recordings

Testers record their testing sessions with our browser extension. Recordings only run during an active cycle and only on the Client’s product domains. Recordings are shared with the Client for the cycle and kept as described in our Privacy Policy.

07Fees, payment and taxes

Clients pay the price shown for a test cycle before it starts, through our payment partner Razorpay. Prices exclude GST unless stated. Tester earnings are paid after a bug is accepted, using the payout method in the Tester’s profile, minus any tax we are required to deduct.

Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

08Confidentiality and NDAs

Testers must keep Client products and information confidential. Clients may require Testers to accept a separate NDA before a cycle starts. We keep Client information confidential and only use it to run the Service.

09Ownership

Clients keep all rights in their products. Once a bug report is accepted and paid, the Client may use the report and its attachments without restriction. We keep all rights in the Service itself, including our software, brand and design.

10Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including by:

• Trying to access accounts, data or systems you are not allowed to.
• Testing products you have not been invited to test.
• Uploading malware or running load or security attacks outside an agreed scope.
• Paying or receiving payment for bugs outside the Service to avoid fees.

11Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. Testing reduces but does not remove the risk of bugs, and we do not guarantee that every bug will be found. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the [3] months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

12Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Fees for completed work, and earnings for accepted bugs, remain payable after termination.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in [CITY], India have exclusive jurisdiction.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the dashboard at least [14] days before they take effect.
